A senate-recognized voluntary student organization representing every student in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Malta.
Our story
Built by students, for students
The Malta Health Students' Association (MHSA) was established to support the diverse needs of over 1,000 registered students within the Faculty of Health Sciences. As a senate-recognized voluntary organization, we operate independently while working closely with the University and national bodies.
Our executive board is made up of members drawn from all ten departments of the faculty, ensuring that every discipline — from nursing and midwifery to radiography and applied food and nutritional sciences — has a voice at the table.
We exist to advocate, to connect, and to support. Whether pressing for better facilities, organising conferences that bring disciplines together, or simply helping a first-year find their footing, the MHSA is here to make the student experience stronger.

How we work
The executive board
Our board is formed by members from each of the ten departments, giving every discipline direct representation.
Representation
Each department elects representatives who carry student concerns to the executive board and onward to the Faculty and University.
Sub-committees
Working groups for events, academic support, advocacy, and communications turn the board's plans into action.
Open to all
Any registered health-sciences student can stand for a position. We welcome fresh perspectives every academic year.
