In March 2023, the MHSA hosted a student-led conference on interprofessional collaboration, a cornerstone of modern healthcare. The event gathered students from nursing, midwifery, occupational therapy, radiography, and applied food and nutritional sciences.
Through panel discussions, case simulations, and networking sessions, participants explored how disciplines can work together to deliver safer, more patient-centred care. Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with many calling for the conference to become an annual fixture.
The MHSA is committed to creating spaces where future health professionals learn from one another long before they meet on a hospital ward.
